Salt licks for cows and other farm animals are carved and installed on gallery walls, at different heights appropriate for humans and animals alike. Carved forms and titles refer to stages of digestion and the material function of the salt lick stones themselves. Other sculptural elements evoke agricultural and industrial processes of abrasion and breakdown, while a video monitor transmits the blue static light of a long-wavelength ultraviolet fly-zapper, keeping virtual pests at bay.
