G.O.R.P. (good old raisins and peanuts)
The exhibition references mountainous landscapes as contested sites of surveillance, militarization, consumption, identity, the construction of nature, and aspiration. Tourers (Expanded Geography) drapes U.S. Woodland camouflage printed ripstop to create a group portrait via continuous landscape across coathooks. In the foreground, Crumb combines a rotating cake display refrigerator with a multi-layer, plaster cake peak. CAPTTTTCHA intervenes in a motion activated wildlife camera using a dataset of collected images used in CAPTCHA (Completely Automated Public Turing test to tell Computers and Humans Apart) authentication. In the edition shown here, the image set used is of palm trees.
