The exhibition refers to Łodz's history as a textile manufacturing center and to the location of the exhibition space in the former housing complex of textile factory workers.
"Vulgar fractions" is another term for common fractions, or, a small part of a whole. Presenting a figurative interpretation of the body of the worker as an extension of the factory, the works evoke the vulgarity, or commonality, of laboring bodies and basic units of subsistence.
The space of the costume engulfs the space of the stage; the body, a unit of community–society–production–economy–politic, moves.
